Water and Environment businesses
encouraged to develop export links with
Saudi Arabia and Bahrain
British Water is managing a UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Environment and Water trade mission to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh) on 14 – 19 January 2011, and to Bahrain on 19 – 21 January 2011. The programme includes a series of one-to-one meetings and excellent networking opportunities as well as briefings and seminars.
The UK Coalition Government Agreement sets out a role for UKTI as a champion for UK businesses that develop and export innovative green low carbon technologies. This UKTI supported outward mission to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, managed by British Water, offers UK companies an exciting opportunity to engage business and promote their low carbon solutions.

Dr Garry Felgate joins Orion Innovations
Orion Innovations is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Garry Felgate as a Partner in the company as of September 2010.
Orion Innovations is a London-based strategy consulting firm focused on supporting innovation and growth in clean technology sectors. The company has built a strong reputation advising policymakers, researchers and technology companies on how best to drive ideas and products to market. Garry will be a valuable addition to the team, helping to build Orion Innovations’ customer base and expand its service offering.
Garry was previously Chief Executive of the Energy Retail Association (ERA), established in 2003 to represent Britain's domestic energy suppliers. The ERA works with government, NGOs, charities and other organisations in England, Scotland and Wales to ensure a coordinated approach to dealing with the key issues affecting the industry and the British consumer. While with the ERA, Garry took the industry lead in the planning and design of the supplier led smart meter roll out. Garry was also a Director of the Energy Saving Trust and the Ombudsman Service.
Prior to joining the ERA, Garry was the Managing Director of the consulting business at AEA Technology. He was the Director of Delivery and External Relations at the Carbon Trust, where he delivered the Trust’s Carbon Management solutions and was a director at KPMG Consulting, focussing on energy and retail consultancy. He has also worked for A T Kearney and IBM.
Garry has a PhD in Building Engineering, a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Engineering and is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and the RSA.
